Friends

When I was growing up, I was a member of a group that sometimes referred to itself as "the friends." Most of them were not my friends.

I cannot fully express the gratitude I feel, these many years later, to have discovered what real friendship is (and can be) and to be blessed with so many wonderful people in my life.

When I think about people that I love and who love me, people that I like and who like me, conversations about such a diverse set of topics and conversations about nothing but just sharing the experience of conversing - I feel surrounded by the warm embrace of the divine.

Maybe that's really something like what is meant by the spirit.
