Don't You Know that I Love You

Spirit, prayer, heat, passion, drive, body, MUSIC! - A gadda-da-vida for real.

"Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life." ~ Ludwig van Beethoven

"There is nothing in the world so much like prayer as music is." ~ William P. Merrill

"Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies." ~ Edward Bulwer-Lytton

"Its language is a language which the soul alone understands, but which the soul can never translate." ~ Arnold Bennett

Beam me on and on and on and on and on....

"In A Gadda Da Vida," Iron Butterfly

Two-part digital remaster of the original 17 minute song:

in a gadda da vida honey
don't you know that I
love you

in a gadda a vida baby
don't you know that I'll
always be true

Oh won't you
come with me
and take my
hand

Oh, won't you
come with me
and walk this
land

Please
take my
hand

A short version~

Christmas Music, Lights, Cheer, Love!

I haven't listened to any seasonal music until today. I always loved Christmas music, even when I was a kid and didn't celebrate the holiday. It's lovely, so warm and fun to have this music playing in the house.  What better way to enjoy making the house beautiful for the family celebrations tonight? I have many of these in multiple versions, each with their own style.

Kate Bush

Feel it - Kate Bush

After the party
You took me back to your parlour.
A little nervous laughter
Locking the door.
My stockings fall
Onto the floor.
Desperate for more.

Nobody else can share this.
Here comes one and one makes one,
The glorious union.
Well it could be love,
Or it could be just lust,
But it will be fun.
It will be wonderful.

Oh, feel it. Oh, oh feel it,
Feel it, my love.
Oh, feel it. Oh, oh feel it,
Feel it, my love.
Oh, I need it. Oh, oh, feel it,
Feel it, my love.
Feel it!
See what you're doing to me?

God, but you're beautiful, aren't you?
Feel your warm hand walking around.
I won't pull away.
My passion always wins.
So keep on a-moving in.
So keep on a-tuning in.
Synchronise rhythm now.

Oh, feel it. Oh, oh feel it,
Feel it, my love.
Oh, feel it. Oh, oh feel it,
Feel it, my love.
Oh, I need it. Oh, oh, feel it,
Feel it, my love.
Feel it!
See what you're doing to me?
See what you're doing to me?
Just see what you're doing to me.

Artists That Can Transform Frustration into Common Ground

It's like alchemy. Grooveness.

Sheryl Crow, "Say What You Want"

Short order politicians
Supersonic blind ambition
Beneath your angel wings
Lurk some really nasty things

I saw you ranting on TV today
I heard you tell me to reload
You got a lot of nerve to talk that way
Someone unplug the microphone

So tired of all the fighting
Cynicism and back-biting
Can't even hear myself think
You pour the Kool-Aid and then we drink

So much noise
So much chatter
Does the truth even matter?

Say, say what you want to
Even though you never mean it
Say, say what you want to
Ain't got time to be wasting time
Say, say what you want to

A better day
is always on its way
And love and compassion reign
If you really knew
What's in front of you
Would you hear the things you say?

We had a chance and now we're gonna blow it
Say, say what you want to
If this is America you'd never know it

Ignorance is patriotic
Reason is idiotic
Winds of change keep on blowin'
If this is America you'd never know it

So much noise
So much chatter
Does the truth even matter?

Say, say what you want to
Even though you never mean it
Say, say what you want to
Ain't got time to be wasting time
Say, say what you want to
We had a chance and now we're gonna blow it
Say, say what you want to
If this is America you'd never know it

All you little ones with open hearts
Don't let hatred tear your world apart
And if you wonder who is wrong or who is right
Better go ask God
"Shine some light!"

Earthquakes and Jihad Jane
Talking heads and hate campaigns
If aliens should land today
Who would be more afraid?
Us or them?

Say, say what you want to
You gotta say it, say it
Say, say what you want to
Whatever's on your mind
Say, say what you want to
Gimme a microphone, baby
Say, say what you want to
Oh-oh, oh-oh, out of the things I wanna say

(scat)
Are you lovers?
Are you haters?
We got something to say, yeah-yeah-yeah, ohh

Strolling slowly towards the sun...

Green-Eyed Lady - Sugarloaf

Greeen Eyed Lady, lovely lady
Strolling slowly towards the sun

Green eyed lady ocean lady
Soothing every wave that comes

Green eyed lady, passion's lady
dressed in love she lives for life to be

Green eyed lady feels like I never see
Setting suns and lonely lovers free

(Organ solo)
(long instrumental break)

Green eyed lady, windswept lady

Green eyed lady ocean lady
child of nature, friend of man

Green eyed lady passions lady
dressed in love she lives for life to be

Ethereal Meditations

A Hundred Thousand Angels by Sinead O'Connor

Do you
Hear me calling you
The voice of a mother, a father and a child
Would you recognize the truth
Do you feel a love that's falling from my eyes

Take just a minute
Come and rest you by my side
Let me tell you your own story
Let me walk you through your lives
Only a second
That's all it takes to realize
There's a hundred thousand angels
By your side

Do you
Hear me talk to you
I whisper through the doorways
And pathways of your mind
Clear like the morning dew
And fresh from my journey
Cross an ocean of blue

Take just a minute
Come and rest you by my side
Let me tell you your own story
Let me walk you through your lives
Only a second
That's all it takes to realize

There's a hundred thousand angels by your side
There's a hundred thousand angels by your side
